Hiten Patel

Biography:

Hiten Patel was born in New Jersey and grew up in North Bergen, NJ, and DuQuoin, IL. He pursued his education at Washington University in St. Louis, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His surgical training in urology was completed at the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

As an active researcher, he focuses on kidney and prostate cancer, health outcomes, and clinical trials. In addition to his medical pursuits, he has a passion for musical theater, dance, film, and television, having participated in amateur productions during high school and college. Outside the hospital, he has made brief TV appearances, including on Tiny House Hunting (2014) and as an extra on House of Cards (2013). He was also interviewed by TV4 Sweden regarding the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.
