Indian actor Harish Khanna primarily performs in Indian and international motion pictures. His roles in Yahaan, Kaminey, Midnight’s Children, and Gangs of Wasseypur have earned him the most recognition. Khanna was born into a Khatri family in Kota, Rajasthan. He finished high school at Luthra Academy and Model School (MIER), Jammu, after completing junior school in Delhi. He then proceeded to the National School of Drama in New Delhi to complete his acting degree. After graduating in 1993, he relocated to Mumbai and began acting in both theatre and motion pictures.
In 1999–2000, he was granted the Charles Wales India Trust Award to study in the United Kingdom at the Central School of Speech & Drama in London. There, he earned a credential in MA Performance Studies and Voice Studies.
