Govind Padmasoorya was born on 16 June 1987 in Pattambi, Kerala. He went to St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, Karnataka where he pursued the degree of Business Administration. After graduation, Govind moved to Mumbai to pursue media studies from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai.
Govind Padmasoorya is an Indian actor who is well known for appearing in Malayalam and Telugu films and TV serials. He is popularly known for portraying of Freddy Abraham in Malayalam mystery thriller film 32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vaakyam with alongside Miya George. Govind is the recipient of several awards honoured for his mesmerized performace.
Besides films, Govind has appeared in several television serials and reality show. In 2014, Govind appeared in D 4 Dance reality show aired on Mazhavil Manorama where he was the co-host with Jewel Mary. Govind was awarded the Award of Asiavision for Best Anchor for D4. He subsequently hosted several programs which aired on Asianet channel such as Gum on D2 (2015), Thengakola Mangatholi (2015), Asianet Film Awards (2016), Singapore Onam, Asianet Film Awards (2017), Dare (2017-18) 21st Asianet Film Awards (2019) many more. Govind appeared in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 3, to wish Happy Birthday to Anoop Krishnan.
Govind began his acting career through some albums in 2007. Later, he first featured in biographical drama film Atayalangal, playing role of Gopi. He subsequently casted in Daddy Cool (2009), Bhoomi Malayalam (2009), IG (2009), College Days (2010), 72 Model (2013), Varsham (2014) and many more. Govind got popularity for appearing in mystery Malayalam thriller film 32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vaakyam starring with Miya George and M.P. Michael. This film revolves around a young couple and they both marry against their parents.
Govind grabbed on headlines for portraying main role Shibu Majeed in comedy horror drama film Pretham in 2016 which was directed by Ranjith Sankar. After 2 years, he was seen in cameo appearance in a second part of Pretham 2. In 2020, Govind appeared in Allu Arjun’s action drama Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo as Paidithalli and with this movie he also made his debut in Telugu films. Also, Govind appeared in super-hit Telugu action supernatural action drama film Bangarraju as Aadi with alongside Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao and Ramya Krishnan in 2022.
In 2022, Govind is hosted the Game show Bzinga Family Festival which aired on Zee Keralam. In 2022, He appeared in Sony Liv web series Meet Cute with alongside Varsha Bollamma, Ruhani Sharma and Adah Sharma
