Indian film editor Gopi Krishna has edited Tamil-language movies. After receiving praise for his performance in Mohan Raja’s Thani Oruvan (2015), he achieved success.
Gopi Krishna completed a degree program at the MGR Government Film and Television Institute in Chennai to formally learn the craft of editing. Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (2012), a mystery film directed by Balaji Sakthivel, was Gopi Krishna’s first big hit and led to further possibilities to edit Tamil movies. Following the critical acclaim of his performance in Mohan Raja’s Thani Oruvan (2015), he received larger film offers from producers, marking a turning point in his career. Later on, he contributed to the popular horror-comedy Dhilluku Dhuddu (2016). 2017 saw Gopi Krishna sign on to edit a number of mid-budget Tamil movies, including as 1945, a period drama, and the horror movie Dora.
