Girish Pandurang Kulkarni is an Indian actor, producer, and writer who was born on November 25, 1977. For his role in Deool, he won the 2011 National Film Award for Best Actor, and for the same film, he won the 2011 National Film Award for Best Screenplay. His well-known Marathi films include Jaundya Na Balasaheb, Vihir, Deool, Gabhricha Paus, and Valu. Hindi fans are familiar with him from his roles in the films Ugly (starring Anurag Kashyap) and Dangal (starring Aamir Khan). His performance opposite Amey Wagh as gangster ‘Appa’ in the 2017 Marathi crime movie Faster Fene won him praise. In Sacred Games, India’s first Netflix original series, he played the role of Maharashtra home minister Bipin Bhosale.
