Gautam Bora

Biography:

Indian politician Gautam Bora hails from the state of Assam. He held four terms as a member of the Assam Legislative Assembly and served as a minister in the governments of Tarun Gogoi and Hiteshwar Saikia. He used to be an actor and director in Indian movies.

Since the beginning of his political career, Bora has been a part of the Indian National Congress. In all good and terrible times, including the 2015 mass erosion of INC leaders into the saffron party, he remained devoted to the party.

However, on March 20, 2021, he announced his resignation from the INC, citing lack of party leadership and lobby-centered politics as his reasons. At the moment, Bora is a Bharatiya Janata Party member. His BJP membership began on March 22, 2021.
