New Delhi is the birthplace and upbringing of young actor Gandharv Dewan. His parents are architects, and they were frequently unsure of what to do with him while they were still employed. He is a single child. As a result, they sent him to various sports programs and workshops for dance, music, art, and theater in order to keep him creatively active. At an early age, he worked with IMAGO, a theater group led by Barry John, in addition to working at the National School of Drama’s Theatre-in-Education Company. He was able to gain admission to Delhi University through a special admissions policy known as the Drama Quota thanks to the numerous theater chances he had while attending the esteemed Modern School on Barakhamba Road.
He was a vital part of The Players, a renowned theater group renowned for its commitment, accuracy, and discipline, while studying English literature at The Kirori Mal College. He made the decision to pursue acting as a career during his undergraduate years, when he also gained a strong foundation in theatermaking and comprehension under the guidance of Keval Arora. Since school, he has acted in a number of plays, and during college and beyond, he directed a few.
