Evans Brown

Biography:

Evans Brown is an American cinematographer and director of photography, noted for his contributions to television series such as True Blood (2008), Constantine (2014), and Outcast (2016) . Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was influenced early on by his father, a mechanical engineer and photographer, and his mother, an educator and fine art painter . Brown pursued his interest in the visual arts at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where he studied fine art black-and-white photography and filmmaking.​

His career in the film industry began with roles in the camera and electrical departments, including work as a gaffer on productions like The Wire. Over time, he transitioned to director of photography, contributing to series such as Halt and Catch Fire, The Boys, and The Terminal List . Brown’s work is characterized by a keen eye for lighting and composition, skills honed through years of experience and a foundational passion for photography.​

Beyond his cinematographic endeavors, Brown co-founded Quasar Science, LLC, an LED technology and logistics company specializing in high color rendering lighting products . This venture reflects his commitment to innovation in film production technology

On a personal note, Evans Brown is married to Tachou Dubuisson, and together they have two children .​
