Former Indian model and actress Ekta Khosla has appeared in films in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
In Mumbai, she was employed as a model. She won the Sony My Miss India title in 2004 at the Pond’s Femina Miss India pageant. She debuted in Kannada with the 2005 film Thunta, which costarred Balaji.
She “looks cute in the song sequences, but fails short in performance,” according to a critic. She was crowned Miss Beautiful Hair at Feminia Miss India in 2006. She debuted in Telugu with Poramboku in 2007. A song from the movie was filmed in Mauritius, and another one was shot in Phuket Island.
One reviewer remarked of her portrayal, “The heroine is another significant minus. She lacked both glamour and a nice figure. In her second Kannada film, Gaja (2008), she had a bit part.
In the 2010 film Mundhinam Paartheney, she played a salsa trainer and made her Tamil film debut. Sanjay, her co-star, assisted her in learning Tamil for the movie. “Of the three ladies, Ektha delivers well and has more footage,” a critic remarked.
