Dileep Rao

Biography:

Rao was born in Los Angeles, California, to an American father of Kannadiga ancestry and a mother who worked as a scientist.  He was raised in Claremont, California; Denver, Colorado; and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. His sister is a professor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Anna Belknap and Elizabeth Banks were among his classmates at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, where he earned his M.F.A. after graduating with a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and Claremont High School.
