Dharsha Gupta

Biography:

Indian actress Dharsha Gupta was born on June 7, 1994 and primarily works in the Tamil cinema and television industries. She gained notoriety for her parts in the comic reality TV series Cooku with Comali (season 2), which was shown on the Star Vijay channel.

In 2021, Gupta made her cinematic debut with Richard Rishi in the Tamil film Rudra Thandavam, which was directed by Mohan G. Gupta starred alongside Sunny Leone in the 2022 movie Oh My Ghost. She competed on Bigg Boss 8, an Indian reality television program.

In the Tamil television series Mullum Malarum, which aired on Zee Tamil, she made her acting debut. Along with Ranjith, she also had a significant role in Senthoora Poove on Star Vijay.

She made an appearance on the second season of the comic reality show Cooku with Comali in 2020, where she gained notoriety and achieved great success. Director Mohan G. approached Dharsha in 2021 and offered her a part in his action-thriller film Rudra Thandavam, which was directed by him. She accepted the offer and played Varahi in the movie, which was also her first lead acting role.

Later, she went on to another big-budget movie called Medical Miracle, in which she plays the lead female role once more and faces off against comedian and actor Yogi Babu.  She earned the FAB AWARD film festival’s Best Debutante Actress of the Year award in 2021.

Dharsha was approached by director Abhishek Kapoor, who offered her a supporting part in his upcoming Tamil movie Oh My Ghost, which starred Sunny Leone in the lead role while India was under COVID-19 lockdown. Dharsha provided basic medical care and shelter to over 20,000 people. She also received the Heart of the Year award for her community contributions.

She also competed on Vijay Sethupathi’s reality show, Bigg Boss 8, in 2024. Later, on day 21 of the competition, she was eliminated in 22nd position.
