Biography:

Born on March 13, 1983, in Mumbai, Devshi Khanduri is a former model turned actress and lyricist with strong ties to the film industry. Although raised in Dehradun, she has deep roots in Mumbai. Her Bollywood debut came with “Chargesheet” (2011), directed by the iconic Dev Anand in his final directorial venture before his passing. She appeared in her latest film, “Khel Toh Ab Shuru Hoga,” released on May 13, 2016, and has since become a recognized face in Bollywood.

Devshi’s family has a longstanding association with the film world, having their production house. Her interest in writing and poetry from a young age was accompanied by a desire to become an actress. A chance encounter with Dev Anand led to her involvement in the film industry. While initially tasked with writing a song for “Chargesheet,” she was offered a substantial role in the film. Despite the movie’s modest success at the box office, her presence didn’t go unnoticed.

Her involvement expanded to films like “Shakal,” a Bollywood thriller produced by Prashant Mishra, inspired by Hollywood’s “Sin City.” Here, she portrayed a young Christian girl ensnared in the drug and mafia underworld. Devshi also played diverse roles in the South Indian film industry, including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam movies, as well as item songs.

Devshi Khanduri ventured into lyricism, with her songs sung by renowned artists like Asha Bhonsle and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Additionally, she demonstrated her vocal prowess in her album “Kiss Me” (2014), and her artistic talents extended to painting, which she sold for charity.

Known for her upbeat personality, Devshi exudes positivity, embracing life’s various phases with humility and optimism. Alongside her acting and lyrical endeavors, she has appeared in several commercials and remains involved in philanthropic activities.
