Christian Keyes (born July 24, 1975) is an American actor, model, singer, author, and producer. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Flint, he began his career in stage plays before transitioning to television and film.
Keyes has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Brothers & Sisters, Moonlight, Beauty and the Beast, Instant Mom, Mistresses, and Born Again Virgin. He had a recurring role on BET’s Let’s Stay Together (2011–2014) and later played Michael the Archangel on Supernatural. In 2019, he portrayed the villain Desmond (Nerón) in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. He has also appeared in music videos for Keri Hilson, Ashanti, Ledisi, and Mary J. Blige.
His film credits include leading roles in Perfect Combination (2010), Lord, All Men Can’t Be Dogs (2011), Note to Self (2012), Act Like You Love Me (2013), and The Man in 3B (2015). He has also performed in Tyler Perry’s stage plays such as Madea Goes to Jail and What’s Done in the Dark.
In 2016, Keyes starred in Bounce TV’s Saints & Sinners, followed by a lead role in BET’s In Contempt (2018). In 2020, he joined The Young and the Restless as Ripley Turner.
As an author, Keyes has written urban romance novels, including Ladies Night (2015), which was later adapted into the BET+ series All The Queen’s Men (2021), produced by Keyes and Tyler Perry Studios. He also authored Dr. Feel Good (2016).
Keyes attended Ferris State University, where he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has one son, Christian Keyes Jr.
