Chandini Tamilarasan

Biography:

Indian actress Chandini Tamilarasan had roles in Telugu and Tamil movies. Before agreeing to play a part in Naan Rajavaga Pogiren (2013), she made her screen debut in the lead role in K. Bhagyaraj’s Siddhu +2 (2010).

Padmanjali and Tamilarasan were the parents of Chandini. Her father’s side of the family is Tamil, and her mother’s side is Telugu. On December 12, 2018, choreographer Nandha and her were married.

She was a 17-year-old competitor in the Miss Chennai 2007 pageant, but she did not place in the top three. Following her appearance in a reality show on a Tamil channel in 2009, she received a call from K. Bhagyaraj’s office inviting her to attend a screen test for his upcoming project.  After making an impression, she was signed to star alongside Bhagyaraj’s son Shanthnoo in Siddhu +2.

Following a postponement, the movie debuted in December 2010 to mediocre reviews and a weak box office showing. She signed on to work in the middle of 2010 on a movie called Padithurai, which was produced by Tamil superstar Arya and starred newbies.

There was no theatrical release for the movie. Despite getting more offers, she turned them all down and went back to college to complete her degree. 2014 marked the completion of her degree.

She costarred with Nakul and Avani Modi in Prithvi Rajkumar’s 2013 film Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, which features language penned by Vetrimaaran. Later that year, she made her Telugu debut in the action-drama Kaalicharan, based on genuine events surrounding the life of late MLA Erra Satyam and set in the 1980s. In August 2014, her next two movies, Lovers and Kiraak, came out a week apart.

Chandini’s upcoming projects include the Ramesh Subramaniam-directed Suseenthiran production Vil Ambu, in which she will portray a slum dweller, and Anjana Ali Khan’s Palaandu Vaazhga, in which she will portray an IT worker.

In addition, she is putting the finishing touches on two untitled Telugu films: a love drama that will be actor Naveen, son of Naresh,’s first feature film, and a horror comedy. She was cast in Rettai Roja in 2020, taking Shivani Narayanan’s place as the main female character.
