Brinda Master

Biography:

Brinda Gopal was born into a family of seven females to Mani Iyer, an Erode homemaker and caterer. Jayanthi, the older sister, began dancing and played the lead role in two movies, Uthiripookkal and Poottatha Pookkal. Girija, Brindha’s second sister, studied Bharatanatyam at Kalakshetra, worked with choreographers Thangam and then Raghuram Master, whom she subsequently married, and went on to become a self-employed choreographer. Her older sister, Kala, is a renowned choreographer.

Prasanna Sujit, one of her nephews, is a film choreographer as well. Her sister Girija is an actress and choreographer, and one of her nieces, Gayathri Raghuram, is the daughter of the late Raghuram Master. As an anchor on her dancing reality show Maanada Mayilada, she has also introduced her other niece Keerthi, who is the daughter of Jayanthi Master and the wife of actor Shanthanu Baghyaraj.
