American executive producer and screenwriter Brian Tucker is well renowned for his work on Secret Invasion and Broken City. After creating an unsolicited script for Broken City (2013), which Mandate Pictures purchased, Tucker became well-known. The script was included in the 2008 black list of “best, albeit unproduced, screenplays” by the film industry. “Tucker’s screenplay might have been the problem and that it might have been a better story told as a period piece,” Emily Helwig of The Hollywood Reporter commented in reference to the final picture. Tucker’s script’s “coincidence and improbability” bothered Chicago Tribune reporter Michael Phillips. He created the screenplay for a biopic on Angela Davis in January 2019. Tucker was engaged to rewrite Todd McFarlane’s screenplay for the next Spawn remake, it was announced in August 2021. In addition, Tucker was hired to write the screenplays for the original movie Expiration and the Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance remake. It was revealed in April 2023 that he wrote every episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Secret Invasion.
