Biography:

Blu del Barrio’s birthday is September 15, 1997.They were raised in Topanga, California. They came out as non-binary in 2019 and started using the pronouns they/he/elle in April 2025. They struggled with their gender their entire lives, and after watching Lachlan Watson on TV, they realized they might be non-binary. Being chosen to play a non-binary character in Star Trek: Discovery enabled them to come out as non-binary in public. In 2019, they decided on the first name Blu in honor of their childhood favorite hue. Before relocating to the UK to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), Del Barrio studied dance and theater in California. He graduated in 2019.
