Mumbai is home to Indian actress and theater performer Bhakti Rathod. Bhakti appeared in the Gujarati television series Pati Thayo Pati Gayo on Colors Gujarati. In the 2009 film Haal Rupali ne peinwa, Bhakti made her Dhollywood debut opposite Hitu Kanodia. Bhakti has also appeared in web series called Rom-Coms. In 2019 she launched her most recent worldwide feature film, ‘The Last Koan’, which was available in both Hindi and English. She received the 2018 Gujarat Government State Award for her outstanding work in Gujarati films.
Neela Soni, Bhakti’s mother, is the vice president of the BJP North Mumbai and a member of the Central Board of Film Certification. She is the daughter of Kannubhai Kannu Rathod. Her sister, Chitralekha Rathod, is a model and actor as well. Rastomjee Cambridge International School & Junior College, Dahisar, Mumbai, and the University of Mumbai are where Bhakti finished her schooling.
