Bejoy Nambiar is an Indian film director and screenwriter renowned for his contributions to Bollywood. He gained recognition for his acclaimed short films, Rahu and Reflections, featuring Mohanlal. Nambiar won the Sony PIX Gateway to Hollywood competition, judged by industry veterans Ashok Amritraj, Rajat Kapoor, and Anurag Basu, as the best director.
He made his feature film debut with the thriller Shaitan in 2011. His second feature film was the anthology-drama David. His latest Bollywood venture, Taish (2020), was released both as a film and a series on ZEE5. He also directed Wazir (2016), starring Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar, and created the short video Sachinocalypse for All India Bakchod.
Born on April 12, 1979, Bejoy’s mother tongue is Malayalam. He first married Juhi Babbar on June 27, 2007, following a two-year relationship, but the couple divorced in January 2009. Later, he married his long-time girlfriend, Sheetal Menon, in a traditional Malayali wedding in Kerala on December 27, 2015.
