Asmita Sood

Biography:

Asmita Sood is an actress and model from India. Brammigadi Katha, a Telugu film from 2011, marked her acting debut. Sood is the endorser of more than 40 brands. She has appeared in two TV series: Phir Bhi Na Maane on Star Plus and Dil Hi Toh Hai on Sony TV and Badtameez Dil.

She is Off-Grid’s co-founder.Off-Grid is a new techno music festival in India, the brainchild of lawyer and music aficionado Aman Lakhani and actress Asmita. across 600 partygoers gathered from all across the nation to attend the music festival held at Kullu.

Sood began her modeling career at the end of 2010 following her participation in Channel V’s Get Gorgeous reality show. Later on, she competed in the 2011 Femina Miss India pageant and reached the finals. She is a Kathak dancer with professional training.

Brammigadi Katha (2011), a Telugu film that also features Varun Sandesh in the major role, marked Sood’s acting debut. It ran in theaters for fifty days. In 2013, Sood made his Kannada film debut in the lead role of Victory, costarring Sharan.

Next came her Malayalam debut in the anthology 5 Sundarikal, where she played the role of a young Muslim bride, Ami. Her next appearance was in the Telugu movie Aadu Magaadra Bujji, opposite Sudheer Babu. She portrayed the “bubbly and chirpy college-goer” Indu in the movie.

The films Aa Aiduguru (2013), in which Sood played a police officer, and Ok (2013) were her next releases. She was filming Lukka Chuppi, her second Malayalam movie, in 2015. She also acted as Meher Purohit opposite Pearl V Puri in the Hindi television series Phir Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil on Star Plus.

She was set to play Gauri in Qayamat Ki Raat, but Karishma Tanna was instead cast in the part. She starred as Setu in the 2018 season of Dil Hi Toh Hai on Sony TV, which ran till 2020. She portrayed the antagonist Trishala opposite Gaurav S. Bajaj in the Dangal series Janam Janam Ka Saath from November 2022 to February 2023.
