Biography:

Ashutosh Shah is an Indian director, producer, and filmmaker associated with Hindi films and digital entertainment. He started out as an assistant director, participating in the production of highly regarded movies such as Khoya Khoya Chand (2007), Mumbai Cutting (2008), Tera Kya Hoga Johnny (2009), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Agneepath (2012), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), and Guilty (2020). The experience with reputable directors served as a good base for him in order to transition into independent direction in the future.

The directoral debut of Ashutosh Shah came with his participation in a comedy-crime series on Disney+ Hotstar titled Hundred (2020), directed alongside Ruchi Narain. With Lara Dutta and Rinku Rajguru among the cast members, the series was well received thanks to its unique concept, the fast pace of events, and the mix of action, comedy, and drama. Besides directing, Ashutosh Shah is the co-founder of R.A.T. Films company together with Ruchi Narain and Taher Shabbir. Involved in film and digital content production, Ashutosh Shah is well-known for his vivid visual language and versatile narrative skills, thus making a promising filmmaker in India’s OTT industry.
