Biography:

Asees Kaur, born on September 26, 1988, in Panipat, Haryana, is a talented Indian singer renowned for her versatile vocal abilities. Her musical journey began at the age of 5, singing Gurbani, under the guidance of her father. Excelling in Gurbani recitations, she ventured into various competitions, receiving early recognition for her talent.

Educated at Bal Vikas Public School in Panipat and later obtaining her M.Com. from S D (PG) College Panipat, Asees nurtured her passion for singing alongside her studies. Under the tutelage of Ustad Puran Shahkoti from Jalandhar, she honed her musical skills and released her version of Gurbani, receiving widespread acclaim in India.

Her entry into the professional music industry commenced with her participation in the Punjabi reality show Awaz Punjab Di, which paved her path to Bombay, where she collaborated with diverse music composers. Asees Kaur made her Bollywood debut with “Dildara Reprise” from Tamanchey, marking the beginning of her successful journey in playback singing.

Her notable contributions in Bollywood include hits like “Ve Maahi” from Kesari, “Makhna” from Drive, “Bandeya Re Bandeya” & “Tere Bin” from Simmba, “Akh Lad Jave” and “Chogada” from Loveyatri, and “Bolna” from Kapoor & Sons. In 2021, her song “Raatan Lambiyan” from Shershaah, in collaboration with Tanishk Bagchi, soared to immense popularity, solidifying her position as a versatile and accomplished playback singer.
