Biography:

Anusree, born on October 24, 1990, is an Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam cinema. She made her acting debut in Diamond Necklace (2012) and has since played lead roles in several Malayalam films.

She was born in Kerala to Muraleedharan Pillai, a clerk at the Kerala Water Authority, and Shobhana, a homemaker. Raised in Kamukumchery, Kollam district, she has an elder brother named Anoop. Anusree attended Indira Gandhi Memorial Vocational Higher Secondary School in Manjakala, Kollam. Her passion for acting began during her school years.

Director Lal Jose noticed her talent while judging the reality show Vivel Active Fair Big Break on Surya TV, where she was a contestant. Impressed by her performance, he cast her as Kalamandalam Rajasree in Diamond Necklace (2012). She later appeared in films like Left Right Left (2013), Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum (2013), and Angry Babies in Love (2014). Her notable lead roles include Ithihasa (2014) and My Life Partner (2014). In 2016, she gained acclaim for her roles in Dileesh Pothan’s Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Priyadarshan’s Oppam, where she portrayed ACP Ganga. She continued to feature in popular films such as Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho (2016), Oru Cinemakkaran (2017), Aadhi (2018), and Panchavarnathatha (2018).

Anusree was initially selected to play the female lead opposite Mohanlal in Pulimurugan (2016), but health issues prevented her from participating in the film. However, she later collaborated with Mohanlal in Oppam (2016). Additionally, she acted alongside Mammootty in Madhura Raja (2019).
