Anuja Joshi

Anuja Joshi, an actress based in New York City, Los Angeles, and Mumbai, boasts a rich heritage in the performing arts. Born into a family deeply rooted in the industry, her father, renowned child actor Master Alankar, and her aunt, the Indian National Award-winning Pallavi Joshi, provided the backdrop for her artistic journey. Alongside acting, Anuja is also a skilled singer and dancer, nurtured in Hindustani classical music and trained in the classical Indian dance form Kuchipudi, completing her Rangapravesam at just eighteen.

Her academic pursuit led her to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a specialization in film direction from the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. Under the mentorship of esteemed instructors like Alice Spivak and Grace Kiley, Anuja honed her acting skills while interning at NBCUniversal, gaining insights into the industry through experiences with shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Post-graduation, she delved into the production realm, contributing to marketing and digital efforts for shows like “Suits” and “Mr. Robot” at USA / SYFY.

Despite her behind-the-scenes endeavors, Anuja remained steadfast in her pursuit of acting, auditioning fervently. Her dedication bore fruit in 2018 when she landed the lead role of Rivanah Banerjee in the Indian web series “Marry Me Stranger,” a production by Goldie Behl and Applause Entertainment, adapted from Novoneel Chakraborty’s novel trilogy.

Anuja is the identical twin sister of actress Aneesha Joshi, known for her breakthrough role in the 2016 Hindi film “Junooniyat.” Additionally, she has a younger brother named Aashay. With her multifaceted talents and unwavering determination, Anuja Joshi continues to make strides in the entertainment industry, poised for even greater success in the years to come.
