Anoop Menon, born on August 3, 1976, is a multifaceted Indian talent known for his roles as an actor, director, screenwriter, and lyricist. Hailing from Kozhikode, he grew up in Thiruvananthapuram, where he attended Christ Nagar School. Anoop pursued his higher education at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, where he graduated as the first-rank holder from Kerala University.
Before venturing into Malayalam cinema, Anoop made a mark in television serials, featuring in popular series like “Swapnam” and “Megham” on Asianet. His transition to the silver screen marked the beginning of a prolific career spanning over 75 films.
Anoop’s versatility is evident in his contributions as a screenwriter, with notable works including “Pakal Nakshatrangal,” “Cocktail,” “Beautiful,” “Trivandrum Lodge,” and “Hotel California.” His screenplay for “Thirakkatha” earned him critical acclaim and prestigious awards, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Filmfare Award.
