American actress Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982. She has won an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a British Academy Film Award. During her high school years, Hathaway appeared in a number of plays. She made her debut as the lead in the Disney comedy The Princess Diaries (2001) after being cast in the television series Get Real (1999–2000) as a teenager. Hathaway transitioned to more mature parts in the 2005 movie Brokeback Mountain, following a series of family flicks, such as Ella Enchanted (2004).
