American actress Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982. She has won an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a British Academy Film Award. She was listed on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list in 2009, and her films have made over $6.8 billion globally. In 2015, she was one of the highest-paid actresses in the world.

During her high school years, Hathaway appeared in a number of plays. She made her debut as the lead in the Disney comedy The Princess Diaries (2001) after being cast in the television series Get Real (1999–2000) as a teenager. Hathaway transitioned to more mature parts in the 2005 movie Brokeback Mountain, following a series of family flicks, such as Ella Enchanted (2004). Her greatest commercial success to date was the comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada (2006), in which she portrayed the assistant to an editor of a fashion magazine. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as a recovering addict in the film Rachel Getting Married (2008).
