Anand Menen

Biography:

Indian film director Anand Menen mainly works in the Malayalam cinema industry. His roles in Gauthamante Radham (2020) and Vaazha, the biopic of a Billion Boys (2024), have made him well-known. Anand was born in Kerala’s Vaikom. In 2013, he started making short films. Anand worked on a diploma in filmmaking.

Together with Lumiere Broz, a group founded by Anand and his friends, he began his career as a director and producer of short films. Kutty Rashtriyam, Psycho, Shanti Muhurtham, and Magneto are just a few of the short films he directed and edited.

He directed and edited Kalyana Kacheri, a short series, for the YouTube channel SUB Originals in 2020.In the same year, he directed Gauthamante Radham, which starred Renji Panicker, Hareesh Kanaran, Neeraj Madhav, and Valsala Menon. In addition, he wrote the screenplay and narrative for the film.

He directed the 2024 movie Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, which starred Azees Nedumangad, Kottayam Nazeer, and Jagadish. On its first day of release, the movie brought in ₹1.5 crores worldwide.
