Anand is an Indian actor who mostly performs in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films, with a small number of Kannada productions as well. He has also appeared in a number of Malayalam television programs.
Mani Ratnam’s black comedy Thiruda Thiruda is the actor’s biggest film to date, although it didn’t help him make a breakthrough as his co-stars did. In a number of movies, such as Vijayakanth’s Poonthotta Kaavalkaaran and Kamal Haasan’s Sathya, he has also portrayed supporting parts and second leads.
In 1987, he debuted in a movie alongside Vanna Kanavugal.
