Anagh Mukherjee

Biography:

The RSVP-Rajkumar Gupta-directed pharmaceutical thriller Pill, starring Riteish Deshmukh; the Viacom x Tipping Point Para-psychological thriller Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamna Paar, starring Manav Vij and Monika Panwar; and the Netflix Original Film Toaster, starring Rajkumar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, are among Anagh’s most recent works. Anagh, who graduated from Jamia Millia Islamia’s AJK MCRC in 2015, has worked as a writer, editor, and photographer in both fiction and non-fiction genres. As an editor, he has contributed to critically acclaimed short films produced by Vikramaditya Motwane’s Andalon Pictures, including Ambiecka Pandit’s Under the Waters, Rohin Raveendran Nair’s The Booth, and Nihit Bhave’s Ayesha, the 2025 Best Filmfare Short Winner.

He and Rohin Raveendran Nair co-wrote the script for Smart City, which won the Asian Cine Fund for Script Development at the 2023 Busan International Film Festival.

Along with other projects with Abhishek Chaubey, Patrick Graham, Birla Studios, and Tusk Tales, he has completed penning a tentpole franchise movie with Dibakar Banerjee. Alongside ongoing commissioned work, he continues to develop a number of creative ideas.
