Aishani Shetty

Biography:

Aishani Shetty, an accomplished Indian actress and director, is a prominent figure in the Kannada film industry. Her breakthrough came with the film “Vaastu Prakaara” in 2015, earning her a nomination for the IIFA Utsavam Award for Best Actress.

Notable roles followed in films like “Rocket” (2015), “Naduve Antaravirali” (2018), and “Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage” (2022).

Born in Bangalore, Aishani completed her schooling at Bishop Cotton Girls’ School and pursued her undergraduate education at Jyoti Nivas College. She holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from St Joseph’s College, Bangalore.

In addition to her acting career, Aishani made her directorial debut with the short film “Kaaji.” This venture garnered recognition, being officially screened at various international film festivals in 2017, including the Bangalore Shorts Film Festival and the Pink City International Film Festival.

“Kaaji” went on to win several awards, including the Best Film at SIIMA and the Best Debutant Director at the Pink City International Film Festival, showcasing Aishani Shetty’s multifaceted talent in the realms of both acting and filmmaking.
