Adriano Goldman
Biography:
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Adriano Goldman is a cinematographer and television director. His photography on Cary Joji Fukunaga’s 2009 film Sin Nombre earned him the “Excellence in Cinematography Award: Dramatic” at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
At the São Paulo Fotoptica Video Festival and the Havana Film Festival (Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano) in Havana, Cuba, his debut short, Is Reinaldo Still Swimming?, took home the top prize.
Goldman supervised the first acoustic program “Unplugged” for MTV Brasil. He also filmed several musical performances and worked in commercials and music videos. At the MTV Video Music Awards, his rendition of Sepultura’s “Orgasmatron” took him the International Viewer’s Choice Award.
In addition, he received three ABC Trophies for his work on the popular Rede Globo/O2 Films series City of Men (which won the 2002 ABC Trophy for Best Cinematography in a Television Series), Cao Hamburger’s Sons of Carnival (Filhos do Carnaval), and Hamburger’s The Year My Parents Went on Vacation (O Ano em Que Meus Pais Sairam de Félias).
He received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (One Hour) at the 70th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards for his work on the Netflix series The Crown.
