Aditya Rawal

Biography:

Aditya Rawal is an Indian actor, author, playwright, and screenwriter famous for his contribution to Hindi films and digital content. He is born to veteran actors Paresh Rawal and Swaroop Sampat and started out as a writer before taking up acting. With a degree in theatre from the London International School of Performing Arts and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Rawal penned some highly acclaimed stage plays and wrote the screenplay of the film Panipat (2019). The Queen, one of his popular plays, received the Best Original Script award at the New York Innovative Theatre Awards, and he worked on some short films and documentaries too.

Rawal made his acting debut with the romantic drama series Bamfaad (2020) streaming on ZEE5, followed by Faraaz (2022), where he gave a memorable performance as the villain in the film directed by Hansal Mehta. This performance earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He has now worked in several projects including Aar Ya Paar (2022), Jo Tera Hai Woh Mera Hai (2024), Subedaar (2026), and the psychological crime thriller Daldal (2026). As a performer and a writer equally, Aditya Rawal is renowned for his ability to portray complex characters through nuanced acting and storytelling skills.
