Joy and Mary welcomed Abin into the world on October 26, 1990, in Keezhpally, close to Iritty, in the Kannur district. In the 1960s, Abin’s family moved from the Kottayam Kuruppanthara region to Kannur. He attended Velimanam St. Sebastian’s Higher Secondary School and Idaveli Government LP School before earning a physics degree from Iritty M.G. College and a journalism postgraduate degree from Don Bosco Arts & Science College, Kannur. He was employed at Mathrubhumi Periodicals as a Sub Editor.
Abin placed second in a story competition while he was in sixth grade. His first story was that. Most of his stories contain traces of local politics and immigration because he lived in a place of migration with strong political origins. His story Kalliasseri Thesis was inspired by his time spent living in Anchampeedika, which is close to Kalliasseri.
His works include Arrival Chuttika Nakshatram, Prathinayakan, Pelayakkurish Satyam, Kalliasseri Thesis, and Sahayatrika. Among the topics he examined were caste, migration and belonging, feminine identity and freedom, political intrigue, and satirical takes on revolution. He has written articles for the internet portals Indian Express, Asianet, Manorama, and Mathrubhumi.
