Tanushree Dutta

Biography:

On March 19, 1984, Tanushree was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.Tanushree became a permanent resident of the United States in September 2018.

She claimed in a 2013 interview that she experienced depression following her ordeal on the Horn ‘Ok’ Pleasures performances. She took a hiatus and experimented with eastern spirituality for healing. She first spent a year and a half living in an ashram. After that, she travelled to Ladakh to study Buddhist meditation. She meditates with Vipassana as well.

Tanushree Dutta is an Indian actress, model, and beauty pageant winner. She placed in the top ten at Miss Universe 2004 in Ecuador after winning Femina Miss India Universe 2004.

Between 2005 and 2010, Dutta primarily acted in Hindi films. Her most well-known roles are in the movie Dhol, Bhagam Bhag, and Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Following a number of years out of the limelight in Bollywood, Dutta made the accusation of sexual harassment directed at her by Nana Patekar during the filming of Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss in an interview with Zoom TV in September 2018. In India, it served as a spark for the “Me Too” movement.

Dutta took first place in the Mumbai-hosted Femina Miss India competition in 2003. She thus competed as a representative of India in the Miss Universe 2004 Pageant, held in Quito, Ecuador, finishing as the sixth runner-up.

Her first film appearances were in Tamil, in Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, then in Bollywood, in Chocolate and Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005. She also had an appearance in 36 China Town’s song “Jab Kabhi” in 2006.
