Sudev Nair

Biography:

Sudev Nair, born on April 14, 1985, is an accomplished Indian actor and model predominantly active in Malayalam cinema. His notable performance in the 2014 film “My Life Partner” garnered significant recognition and earned him the prestigious Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2014. Nair’s talent extended beyond regional cinema as he portrayed the title role in the 2019 Hindi film “India’s Most Wanted,” starring opposite Arjun Kapoor.

His repertoire encompasses diverse roles, including appearances in the Hindi film “Gulaab Gang” (2014) and the Malayalam movie “Anarkali” (2015). He left a mark with his significant role in the film “Karinkunnam 6’S,” and notably, he assumed the titular character’s role in the film “Ezra.”

Nair’s creativity and versatility extended beyond acting, as he wrote, directed, and starred in India’s pioneering Mockumentary web series titled “Not Fit,” a collaboration between The Viral Fever and Dice Media. This innovative series earned international accolades and was featured at the MAMI festival in 2016, showcasing Nair’s multifaceted talents in the realm of entertainment.

Although slotted into conventional campus placements after completing his Engineering degree, his fervent love for the world of cinema propelled him to pursue post-graduation at the esteemed Pune Film Institute. The commencement of his journey in filmmaking originated through a series of diverse short films spanning various genres. These shorts not only competed in prestigious national and international competitions but also made a mark in festivals across the globe. Notably, his short advertisement for Mountain Dew soft drink achieved distinction by reaching the finals of the MOFILM Barcelona Ad Film Festival in 2010.
