Sharvari Deshpande

Biography:

Sharvari Deshpande, an Indian supporting actress, hails from Mumbai, India, where she spent her formative years. She pursued her acting education at Columbia University and currently divides her work between Mumbai and New York. Her debut at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre was in “Monsoon Wedding The Musical,” and she has also been involved in regional theatre productions such as ‘Kyun Kyun Ladki’ with the Gillo Theatre Repertory, ‘Hanuman Ki Ramayan,’ and ‘She-He-Shey.’ In New York, she has been part of productions like ‘Chokher Bali’ and ‘The Queen.’ Additionally, she has received training in Indian music and dance.

Sharvari Deshpande has ventured into supporting roles in films, including ‘Stories In a Song’ (2018) and ‘The Shakuntala Pro’ (2017). Notably, she has appeared in the TV series ‘PA- Gals’ (2017-2018) and is also part of the cast of ‘A Suitable Boy,’ a series directed by Mira Nair. Based on Vikram Seth’s novel of the same name, the series comprises six episodes and is presented in Hindi.
