Unfortunately, his father passed away when he was just six years old. Sai Chand received his primary education at Vasavya Vidyalaya in Vijayawada, an institution founded by Goparaju Ramachandra Rao. His initial foray into the world of cinema was as a child actor in the film “Sati Arundhati.” Later, he pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree at New Science College in Hyderabad.
Sai Chand’s acting career commenced with “Maa Bhoomi” in 1980, directed by Goutam Ghose. This film marked his debut as an actor and went on to become a box office hit, running for a remarkable year. It received critical acclaim, including the prestigious Nandi award and Filmfare award in the best film category. The film was also showcased at various international film festivals.
