Rhea Chakraborty

Biography:

Rhea Chakraborty, born on July 1, 1992, is an Indian actress and former VJ recognized primarily for her work in Hindi films. She initiated her career as a VJ on MTV India before transitioning into acting. Chakraborty’s journey in the film industry began with the 2012 Telugu film “Tuneega Tuneega” and her Bollywood debut followed in 2013 with “Mere Dad Ki Maruti.”

Born into a Bengali family in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Rhea completed her schooling at Army Public School Ambala Cantt, Ambala. Her initial television career commenced in 2009 with MTV India’s “TVS Scooty Teen Diva,” where she secured the first runner-up position. Subsequently, she became a VJ at MTV Delhi, hosting various shows like “Pepsi MTV Wassup,” “TicTac College Beat,” and “MTV Gone in 60 Seconds.”

Her cinematic journey includes roles in films like “Sonali Cable” (2014), “Bank Chor” (2017), cameos in “Half Girlfriend” and “Dobaara: See Your Evil” (both in 2017), and “Jalebi” opposite Varun Mitra in 2018.
