Ravichandran

Biography:

Indian actor Ravichandran, who was born in Malaysia and died on July 25, 2011, starred as the main hero in Tamil movies from 1964 to 1979. Beginning in 1986, he also performed in supporting parts and directed a couple movies.

He was referred to as “Kalaingnar Thilagham” in many of the on-screen credits of movies in which he played the lead. He was also known as “Puratchi Kalaignar” (see the title scene of the Tamil film Anandha Bairavi). He performed in two dramas, Aanaiyidungal Anna and Udhaya Suriyan, while he was a student at Trichy, Tamil Nadu, before breaking into the film industry. Since making his acting debut, he has appeared in two dramas: That Man from Poonthamallee and Mapplley Yen Magalaik Kadhali. That Man from Poonthamallee, a drama, he performed in a double role and Thirumuruga.

He was honored with the title “Nadaga Sigamani” by Kirupanandha Variyar, who oversaw the play at Vellore. Additionally, he performed in the 1986 TV drama GEE Boom Ba. Additionally, he appeared as a guest star alongside Vennira Aadai Nirmala in the Hindi film Nanha Farishta. His dancing in the movie received a lot of positive feedback. During his tenure of acting, his fans, journalists and movie-directors/producers have given many titles, viz., Kalai Ulaga Ilavarasar, Kalai Nilavu, Romantic Hero, Velli Vizha Kathanayagan, Vannap Pada Nayagan, Evergreen Hero, Chinna MGR, Kalaignar Thilagam, Style King, Stunt Man an, Bhagdath Perazhagan, Kalai Chelvan, Pudhumai Thilagam etc. He showed his admirers a lot of love.
