Gauahar Khan

Biography:

Gauahar Khan is an Indian actress, model, and beauty queen who has made a mark in Hindi cinema and television. She began her career in modeling and participated in the Femina Miss India pageant in 2002, where she placed fourth and won the Miss Talented title. Following this, she represented India in the Miss International 2002 contest.

Khan’s initial foray into acting came with a role in the film Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009), produced by Yash Raj Films. She gained further recognition with roles in Game (2011), Ishaqzaade (2012), Fever (2016), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), and Begum Jaan (2017).

In 2013, she gained widespread attention by winning the seventh season of the reality show Bigg Boss. Her career also includes stints in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2009), and she hosted India’s Raw Star (2014), where she faced controversy when attacked by an audience member for her attire.

Khan ventured into Punjabi cinema with Oh Yaara Ainvayi Ainvayi Lut Gaya (2015) and appeared in various other reality shows and web series, including The Office (2019) and Parchayee (2019). In 2020, she returned to Bigg Boss as a senior and played Maithili Sharan in Tandav (2021).

Born on August 23, 1983, in Pune, Maharashtra, to Zafar and Razia Khan, she completed her education at Mount Carmel Convent School in Pune. The youngest of five siblings, she is the sister of actress Nigaar Khan. Khan was previously in a relationship with her Bigg Boss co-contestant Kushal Tandon. She got engaged to actor Zaid Darbar in November 2020 and married him on December 25, 2020. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Zehaan, on May 10, 2023.
