Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer Anurag Singh Thind was born on November 17, 1975. He primarily works in Punjabi and Hindi films. He is regarded as one of the most important directors of Punjabi cinema and is well-known for his comedic and historical military genre movies.
Drs. Charan Singh Thind and Baljit Kaur were the parents of Anurag Singh. Growing up, Singh, a medical student, did well in school and went to Australia to study cinema. In addition to earning PMT Rank 1, he was a Class 10th CISCE topper. He currently resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra, but was raised in Jalandhar.
He wed his childhood sweetheart, Madhurjeet Sarghi, an actress and theatrical performer from Jalandhar, in 2005. Shivaye Anurag Singh was born to Singh and Sarghi in 2016. Armaan Singh, Singh’s older brother, is a renowned chief engineer in California, USA. Singh has a tight relationship with his Jalandhar-based nephews and nieces.
