Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4, a remake of Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu, directed by Harsha, released on September 5 but failed to create pre-release buzz. Now, all eyes are on how this mass action film connects with audiences.
Baaghi 4 Movie Story: After an accident, Ronny (Tiger Shroff) wakes from a coma and recalls a girl named Alisha. But everyone insists she never existed, calling it his imagination. Just as Ronny begins to believe them, he discovers a painting of Alisha, sparking questions. Who is Alisha? And many other points. Baaghi 4 unravels the mystery.
Performances: Tiger Shroff once again delivers strong action but shows little growth as an actor, leaving audiences confused about his emotions at times. However, his stylish fight sequences remain enjoyable.
Harnaaz Kaur shines with a dual-role performance, bringing both variety and glamour. Sonam Bajwa fits well in her part, while Sanjay Dutt looks surprisingly younger and entertains in his intense clash with Tiger. Supporting actors Shreyas Talpade, Upendra, and Saurabh Sachdeva perform convincingly, adding balance to this action-packed entertainer.
Technical Aspects: Sanchit and Ankit’s background score worked well, especially in action and emotional scenes, giving good elevation. The action choreography was extremely wild, with bloodshed shown in a Korean style. Though many fights felt silly and illogical, a section of the audience may still enjoy them.
Cinematography, production design, and DI were top-notch, clearly showing the producer didn’t compromise. Director Harsha made his Hindi debut by remaking a Tamil film, making only minor commercial changes but not really upgrading it. While the story started off interesting, it became boring by the interval, and except for a twist in the second half, there was little to excite. Overall, apart from Harsha’s bloody action sequences, the film doesn’t offer much worth mentioning.
Analysis: Baaghi 4 had a big cast, huge budget, and grand action, but weak storytelling and unnecessary violence made it disappointing.
Verdict: Baaghi 4 tries to impress with huge action blocks, lavish production design, and a star-studded cast. But the film lacks a gripping screenplay and meaningful storytelling. Overdose of violence without purpose feels exhausting. Despite Tiger’s action and the scale, the movie falls flat, offering style but very little substance.
Bottom Line: Big action, weak story, disappointing.
Rating: 1.5/5
