Powerstar Pawan Kalyan turned the chief guest for Natural Star Nani’s pre-release event for his film Ante Sundaraniki, which was released today. There was a lot of hype surrounding Pawan’s speech, naturally, but there was more anticipation, with everyone expecting the actor to make political statements on the stage. However, he stuck to what he had earlier said, after the controversies that surrounded him following the speech he made during the pre-rleease event of Republic, that he wouldn’t make any political statements on a film stage.
Pawan kept the speech very light hearted, but he did make very subtle political statements, and certain statements looked like they were meant to hit certain targets, with respect tot he statements he made about cinema. Pawan said that cinema belongs to everyone, and not a single person, and as such, there should be no discrimination. This was perhaps to remind the Andhra Pradesh government that the government shouldn’t look at the industry with the perspective that Pawan belongs to it, and rather with the perspective that Pawan is just a small part of it.
On the other hand, Pawan cemented his film with Harish Shankar last night, having attended the pre-release event with Harish by his side. The official shooting schedule of their film Bhavadeeyudu Bhagath Singh is yet to be announced.
