Indira Dhar is making her Bollywood debut. Her next film a biopic based on an Indian Army family, stars Divya Dutta and Neeraj Kabi. The project is currently in its final stages with the title yet to be finalized.
A self-made filmmaker and single parent from Kolkata, Indira entered the industry without any backing.
Her debut film Putul was a personal, self-funded project that gained international recognition, making history as the first Bengali film to be considered for Best Picture at the Oscars.
