For over three decades, Rajinikanth ruled Tamil cinema as the undisputed superstar enjoying unmatched fame and fan following.
But about a decade ago, after a few flops from Rajinikanth, Vijay rose to dominance with massive hits like Thuppakki, Kaththi and Mersal becoming Tamil cinema’s top star.
Now, at the peak of his career, Vijay has chosen to step away from films and enter politics. His upcoming movie Jana Nayagan said to be inspired by Bhagavanth Kesari, is expected to be his farewell film.
Reports suggest the climax will be emotional, celebrating his journey in cinema. Directors close to him, including Atlee, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Nelson are likely to appear in cameo roles as Vijay symbolically passes the baton to the next generation.
The film will conclude with the energetic song Thalapathy Kacheri and a montage of Vijay’s best moments, marking a grand and heartfelt goodbye to his fans.
