Ram Charan is the only top actor in Tollywood in recent years to have two films released in the same year, within a month’s span. Rajamouli’s RRR was released in March, in which Charan was seen in the role of Alluri Sitaramaraju, while Acharya was released in April, in which Charan was seen as Siddha, alongside his father Megastar Chiranjeevi.
While RRR turned out to be a phenomenal success, Acharya fell flat, turning out to be a disaster. While Charan is currently trying to compensate the losses incurred by distributors who bought Acharya, RRR and Acharya are gearing up for OTT release on the same day.
Acharya would be available for streaming on Amazon Prime from May 20th, while RRR would be available for streaming on Zee 5 on May 20th itself. This is also a unique record for any actor in Tollywood, ever.
