Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana, known for her work in business and charity, recently traveled to beautiful places like Oman, Africa, Italy, and Melbourne.
She had planned a trip to Iceland but canceled it after seeing a post by Seaspiracy about whale hunting. Moved by the message, Upasana shared on Instagram that she couldn’t support visiting a place involved in such practices.
The post she shared revealed that Iceland renewed licenses allowing the killing of over 2,000 whales, including endangered fin whales.
It also mentioned that 36 Members of the European Parliament had signed a letter urging Iceland to cancel these licenses and enforce a permanent ban on commercial whaling.
The post highlighted the role whales play in fighting climate change by capturing CO2 and called for action to protect marine life.
Upasana’s decision to cancel her trip received lots of praise from her followers, who appreciated her stand for this cause.
