These days, announcing sequels has become a trend in the film industry, especially after the massive success of Rajamouli’s Baahubali and its sequel. Even before that, movies like Arya 2 had established the concept of sequels and franchises. Baahubali, however, took it to another level, inspiring films like KGF 2 to follow suit.

While some sequels like Pushpa 2, Kanatara 2, Salaar 2, and Animal 2 (Animal Park) are eagerly anticipated, there are others whose sequel announcements at the end of the film raised eyebrows. Films like Skandha, Peddha Kaapu, Salaar, Hanu Man, Saindhav, and Eagle have teased sequels despite mixed success at the box office.

It’s uncertain if all of them will materialize, especially considering the lukewarm response to their first installments. Many wonder how these filmmakers confidently announced sequels, especially after gauging audience reactions to the first film.

It seems they have a strong belief in their content, perhaps more than the audience’s reception suggests. Despite the risk, they are willing to take a chance on extending their stories, hoping to capitalize on the potential they see in their creations.
