Director Tharun Bhascker posted his opinion about a Malayalam film, Kappela and while recommending others to watch it, he tried to give his opinion about the commercial format films. Few fans of stars started trolling him for stating his opinion about their star film and some even abused him. Tharun did not want to take it lightly and posted a lengthy reply to trolls saying that he has set his eyes on bigger goals in future and he shouldn’t be trolled or abused for stating an opinion.
Later, few fans said that he and his line Producer, started taking numbers of the trolls and tortured, threatened them for posting against him. The director clarified about threats and complained to Hyderabad Police about the same.
He shared his complaint copy and posted the names of the trolls, he talked too and said that he did not threaten them and talked politely about their behaviour in his case.

Chinmayi Sripada, the famous singer and dubbing artist, has been vocal on the social media about #MeTooIndia Movement and she exposed Tamil lyricist, Vairamuthu as well. She quote retweeted Tharun’s tweet and taunted police for not taking any action on trolls or abusers in her case.
Ah. This what a lot of meme pages in Telugu do 100% of the time even if I just breathe. Also, for the pretty terrible abuse I got and a complaint lodged at Hyderabad, nothing happened. https://t.co/VCeHD4YVxH
