Siva Koratala released a special video of ten minutes on 17th April, addressing various allegations over him about his involvement in casting couch and sexual exploitation issue in Telugu Cinema Industry highlighted by Sri Reddy and other actresses. He said, “Before, I and my team, promote Bharat Ane Nenu, my next release, I wanted to clarify on all the allegations that I have been hearing about me.”
He continued, “Nobody took my name directly, but as this became a huge issue and people started taking my name indirectly, I am coming out to say about it. I haven’t abused any women not sexually even verbally on my sets till date. I always call them by name with respect and never have I ever been a supporter of casting couch. I am a staunch believer in Vivekananda ideals and I never even use any bad words in my films. Even if I slip up any bad thing in my film, my wife will be very upset and I really respect her opinion. I am a kid brought up by single parent that too lady. So, I am not a person to involve in such silly issues for any gains.”
Jeevitha Rajasekhar also came out and said that she is not afraid to face any allegations and have proofs against the people who are dragging her name and her family name into the mud. She asked the protestors to come forward with proofs and not just plain allegations.
Pawan Kalyan fans have taken a rally against Sri Reddy who called the actor a bad word and asked her to apologise for that. Well, the matter of casting couch and sexual exploitation is slowly going sideline as a personal war between two or three people from the Industry.
